As we end this season, our hearts overflows with gratitude, first for the extraordinary leadership of Beth Marriott, whose faithful stewardship of Porch Lights brought together a thriving community of women in the Richmond area. Under Beth’s guidance the last two years, Porch Lights welcomed voices such as Anne Neilson, Sara Hagerty, and Suzanne Youngkin, First Lady of Virginia, as well as so many gifted God-fearing Richmond women through our Porch Parties.
This year has given us so much to celebrate.
With only 24 hours’ notice of the First Lady’s illness, our team rallied, and by God’s grace we were able to host two beautiful events featuring Suzanne Youngkin. More than 400 women heard her story—one of trusting God in the places He calls us, overcoming fear of the unknown, and walking boldly in obedience.
This spring, Sara Hagerty shared from her new book, The Gift of Limitations, with more than 150 women and reminded us of the subtle but profound gift of leaning into God’s boundaries in our lives. She invited us to move into a quieter, more grounded way of seeing God.
Our 2025 Summer Porch Parties gathered over 120 women from across the counties to hear from Karen Campbell & Sara Powers, Julia Warren Mattingly and Emily Henley! Porch Parties spotlight the remarkable work of faith-filled Richmond women right here in our own backyards! God has been generous, and we are thankful.
Each gathering reminded us of God’s nearness and the strength found in shared stories. Community starts when women connect, and Porch Lights is all about gathering women to be renewed by God’s love!
As we look ahead, we invite you to consider partnering with us through a year-end gift. Porch Lights is led by a fully volunteer-based board, and 100% of every donation goes directly toward reaching more women, expanding our gatherings, and deepening our ministry across Richmond and beyond. If Porch Lights has encouraged or strengthened you this year, would you prayerfully consider supporting this mission so even more women can experience the peace and hope found here?
